Every year, you analyze an average of 50,000 pages, and 200,000 pages manually for the largest teams.
Managing your tracking and data is a major challenge that costs time and money, and impacts your strategic decisions.
The Data On Duty Platform enables you to automate this same work on much larger volumes, with fewer resources, while drastically reducing the time required.
The alert system integrated into our Governance & Privacy Manager platforms enables you to push this productivity model further by detecting in real time anomalies linked to compliance and tag deployment, guaranteeing enhanced business performance.
- Alerts apply to Privacy Manager and Governance Manager.
- Creating an alert requires no coding.
- Simply select the item you wish to alert.
- This operation can be performed from tagging plans or from the results of an analysis or route. This eliminates the need to go back to the tagging plan.
2 types of alerts to keep you clean
Alerts are of 2 types: critical or non-critical, generating 2 levels of notification that avoid excessive pollution in emails, Slack, Teams, Jira, etc. Alerts are created once for a given domain name and are applicable to any domain name related to the initial domain name. An industrial model that makes it possible to work extremely quickly without having to do the same thing over and over again. "Do it once, apply for all!
The 100% object-based trigger system, based on tagging plans, is ultra-visual.
There are 2 types of notification:
- Critical: you are notified as soon as the alert occurs during an analysis or a run.
- Non-critical: alerts are grouped into a single notification which you receive at the frequency of your choice - several times a day, once a day, every 2 days, etc...
Alert notifications contain links that take you directly to the alert report, so you can deal with the problem quickly.
Privacy Manager alerts
- Regression of overall compliance
- Regression from compliance to consent ignored, accepted, rejected
- CMP malfunction / banner
- Inappropriate triggering of tags and cookies
- Inappropriate data storage
- Invalid intra-site data transport
Governance Manager alerts
Errors in an analysis or course on :
- Effective tag deployment vs. tagging plan (missing URL template, missing datalayer template, incorrect datalayer, incomplete datalayer, missing tags, duplicate tags, missing hits, multiple hits, missing variables, excess variables, incorrect data)
- Effective deployment of tags vs. a template (erroneous datalayer, incomplete datalayer, missing tags, duplicate tags, missing hits, multiple hits, missing variables, excess variables, erroneous data)
- Missing variables (erroneous datalayer, incomplete datalayer, missing variables, excess variables, erroneous data)
- Excess variables
- Incorrect data
The alerting system should be seen as a V-shaped system, from the broadest (the tagging plan) to the finest (a variable-value pair).
Our findings on the use of alerting by our Data On Duty customers
Generally speaking, so-called critical alerts are applied to variable-value pairs that are transverse to tagging templates and/or to page_type, page_category, etc... This ensures that you are only alerted on what really counts, in a real-time logic.
Our customers will group the rest of the alerts in weekly reports, in order to be in phase with their own internal organization for processing and resolution, with the exception of media accounts who will want daily alerting.
Our recommendations on the use of Data On Duty alerting
The level of criticality of alerts and notifications should be defined according to the purpose of your site, and the frequency of updates: structure, content, products, prices, promotions, tracking, etc.
For example, for a vertical brand eCommerce site, weekly alerts and notifications with the necessary and sufficient critical alerts and notifications will work perfectly.
On the other hand, for generalist or multi-brand eCommerce sites, as well as for media sites, it would be preferable to switch to daily alerts and notifications with a slightly higher dose of critical alerts and notifications.
In all cases, our CSMs and partners will always be there to advise you in the best possible way, with simplicity, productivity and efficiency as our objectives.
